Infant, Toddler, and Twos

Early stages of child development are a crucial time to have children in a stable, safe, and nurturing environment.  At Kids by the Bunch we use The Creative Curriculum® which is child-centered and play-based.  Our teachers create lessons that suit each child’s individual interests and needs.  There are 4 different developments that we focus on to ensure healthy growth and development.  We concentrate on Physical, Social-Emotional, Cognitive, and Language development.

Examples of lessons may be:

Physical: Making bubbles with the goal to develop your child’s fine-motor strength and coordination.

Social-Emotional: Taking care of “Baby” using a doll to establish and sustain positive relationships.

Cognitive: Matching shapes to explore and describe spatial relationships and understanding shapes.

Language: Puppet Stories to develop comprehension and responding to books and other texts.

Each child has a profile that is recorded daily by your child’s teacher.  The teacher assesses the child’s growth and development according to 38 objectives that corresponds with The Creative Curriculum®.

We have a monthly thematic curriculum with focuses throughout the month.  There are two large group lessons and a small group experiences daily which cater to different subjects.  These subjects include:

-Literacy & Language Arts

-Math

-Social Studies

-Science

-Creative Art

-Social/Emotional Skills

-Music

-Physical Development (Gross & Fine)

-Sensory Exploration

These instructions give your child a well-rounded educational experience.

Each child has a profile that is recorded daily by your child’s teacher.  The teacher assesses the child’s growth and development according to the New York State standards.

There are two scheduled conferences with your child’s teacher during the school year.  This enables times to discuss additional ways to benefit your child’s development.
